Playing files that are attached in your Mail:
Open  your Mail on your device and download the attachment. Once downloaded  click on the file to bring up the option to 'Open In...' (open in wmv  player). This will open the app and start the process of converting the  file to be played.

Playing files from websites:
WMV Player is  an application that allows you to play wmv files from websites - using  the app's fully functional web browser, come across a video file in wmv  format, click on the file and the app will convert the file to be  played.

**Please note that there are wmv files that are DRM  (Digital Rights Management) protected and the app does NOT play these.  Also the app does NOT play files in a streaming format from the web  which also include wmv files that are in .asf format. We are working on  allowing the app to play streaming files which we aim to be releasing  very soon!

Saving files:
The app has additional features  allowing you to 'Save' the file for instant viewing at any other time  without having to convert again. Once the app has 'uploaded' the file  the app gives you the option for you to 'Save Media'. Once saved you can  access your file in the 'Saved Media' section on the app's Home screen.

Files that can be played:
The app is able to play, wmv, wma, mpeg, mpg and flv files

We  are continually working on enhancing the quality and speed of the wmv  conversion. Using a high speed wi-fi rather than your internet providers  network can help to speed up the process of the conversion.

If you have a problem with the app, most times this can be fixed by deleting the app and re-installing it.

                Note: For for those users who  want to update their existing app to this version (1.2). Please "DO NOT  UPDATE". We just found out today that the new update contains a small  but very critical bug due to which the application crashes at startup  after updating the application.
(This bug does not affect Fresh app installation)

-  For those users who have already updated their application to version  1.2 and their app is constantly crashing at startup. For them the  solution to fixing this bug is given below.
√ Please Backup your  existing files using "iTunes" File Sharing to your PC (Open ITunes and  connect your device to your PC/Mac. Select the "Apps" option from the  top bar of iTunes and scroll down to the "File Sharing" Portion, from  there select the iDownloads PLUS app and download all the files to your  PC/Mac) and then Reinstal a fresh copy of the app by deleting the  previous one and then re-download/install iDownloads from Appstore.
(You  can also re-upload your files to the iDownloads PLUS after the fresh  installation using the same iTunes File Sharing feature)

Again we  are very sorry for inconvenience this has caused and we have already  fixed this bug and uploaded to version to Appstore for Review.
